Anglia Level Crossing Reduction Strategy

Ardent has recently been appointed to deliver land and property services to assist Mott MacDonald on the Anglia Level Crossing Reduction Strategy for Network Rail. Network Rail has been working hard to better manage its level crossings and the risks they pose, and has developed proposals for the possible closure or change to public rights.

Northern Line Extension

The Northern Line Extension project involves the construction of two new stations and a new tunnel from Kennington to Battersea. Ardent was appointed by Transport for London to promote the Transport and Works Act Order in 2012 and has continued on the project through the Order implementation and acquisition of land process.

The South Bristol Link will be a combined road and rapid transit MetroBus route between the A370 Long Ashton bypass and Hengrove Park. The transport scheme aims to reduce congestion and facilitate economic growth in the region.

East Coast Main Line Level Crossing Closure Programme

Network Rail undertook a feasibility study into the closure of level crossings along the East coast Main Line between London and Doncaster as part of its commitment to deliver a safer, more efficient and reliable railway. Ardent were engaged for the northern phase, between Peterborough and Doncaster, to carry out land referencing, landowner consultation and arranging survey access for over 30 level crossings.
