Woodberry Down, Hackney
Ardent was appointed in 2007 as part of the team promoting the London Borough of Hackney´s 20-year, £1 billion regeneration project at Woodberry Down Estate. This will deliver 4,600 new homes, a City Academy, health centre, youth centre, an expanded primary school and improved retail facilities. Ardent is providing land referencing, objection management, as well as CPO and land acquisition strategy advice for the scheme, which was selected as a National Demonstration Project by the DCLG on GOL in 2007.
For Phase One, Ardent has already undertaken land referencing and produced the Compulsory Purchase Order Schedules. A carefully planned and executed consultation process during the referencing stage led to no objections from residents and those received from statutory undertakers were successfully negotiated and resolved.
The result was achieved despite a very tight timeframe.
Following the confirmation for the CPO we are now involved with the implementation of the Order powers through notice serving and delivering vacant possession of land.
