Megève Ski Trip
The Christmas team building event last year was brilliant, with the team unanimously agreeing upon skiing and a trip to Megève, near Mont Blanc in the French Alps, duly booked.
The weather was fantastic with good snow and the all-important sunshine. Team Ardent split into two groups of mixed skill, which was really good fun, if not a little tiring for those with only a few days previous experience.
Off piste, the apres-ski was typically Ardent, with good food and fine wine to aid recovery after a hard day on the slopes. The evenings generally started with a meal at the hotel and, helped by a chef who adored his fromage, the majority of the meals consisted of cheese fondues and cheese sauces, appropriately followed by cheesecake or cheese with biscuits, after which we were all set to venture into town to enjoy the local nightlife.
On the final day we made our way back to the airport via a trip to Mont Blanc, travelling up the mountain in a rather precarious cable car that swung freely and made everyone question their decision-making skills, but when it arrived at the top of Mont Blanc the clear blue skies and views for miles across Chamonix made it well worth taking my life in my own hands.
I'm looking forward to Christmas this year already!
