Ardent has the largest practice in the UK solely dedicated to the promotion and implementation of transport, energy, regeneration and housing renewal schemes.

We have a strong track record in delivering nationally significant infrastructure projects for both  public and private sector clients.

Transport – In 2000 Ardent successfully promoted the UK’s first ever Transport & Works Act Order (TWAO) for Docklands Light Railway.  Since then we have promoted and implemented over 20 high profile TWAOs including the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway for Cambridgeshire County Council, the Northern Line Extension for Transport for London and East West Rail Phase 1 for Network Rail.  Read more on our transport projects.

Energy – Ardent undertook the land referencing, Land Agency and compulsory purchase work to support the application of the first Development Consent Order application (Rookery South) in 2011 and has subsequently undertaken the same role on numerous other projects including: the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm, Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon and Knottingley Power.  We are also engaged on what will be the first commercial NSIP application for a Development Consent Order.   Read more on our energy and renewables projects.

Housing Renewal & Regeneration – Ardent has successfully promoted and implemented over 30 Compulsory Purchase Orders for regeneration and housing renewal schemes. Ardent has worked for numerous local authorities including the London Boroughs of, Enfield, Hackney, Hounslow, Lambeth, Tower Hamlets and Three Rivers District and Tamworth Council.  These schemes have included mixed use residential and commercial premises, social and affordable housing, markets and a new football stadium. Read more on our regeneration schemes.
