We are delighted to welcome a new director to Ardent’s growing Consents Management Consultancy (CMC) directorate.

Chris Tooth has been appointed as Director of CMC following a period of significant growth over the past 12 months.

Approaching 30 years of experience working in the UK Civil Engineering industry, Chris brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge as both a Chartered Civil Engineer and an experienced Senior Project Manager, predominantly working on large highway infrastructure projects and frameworks.

Chris has worked on and led multi-discipline teams taking projects from feasibility, through options appraisal, orders and applications, business cases, and procurement to construction. His specialist insight of having worked for client, consultant, and contractor organisations gives him a great appreciation of the challenges each faces.

Much of his recent career has been spent supporting integrated client/contractor/consultant teams undertake due-diligence exercises, prepare Development Consent Order (DCO) applications, take projects through examination, and enabling ‘start of works’ by discharging requirements. Chris Tooth comments:

“I am extremely excited to be joining the growing CMC team. I’ve very much enjoyed working on the consenting aspects of highway and rail projects in the past and I’m really looking forward to consenting being the focus of my future work. I firmly believe there is significant scope in the marketplace for Ardent to provide specialist consenting support to clients, enabling them to fully understand the process and avoid potential pitfalls along the way. “
