Ardent were delighted to welcome contacts and friends from across the world of renewables, regeneration and infrastructure, as we held our inaugural Charity Golf Day.

Raising money for Acorns Children’s Hospice, guests were invited to the prestigious grounds of Little Aston Golf Course. Over 65 golfers of all abilities joined Ardent for a day of networking and golf, including ex footballing heroes from both West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa.

Despite the weather, the rain failed to dampen the spirits of the players as they enjoyed a welcome reception, 18-hole shot gun start and presentation dinner.

Taking first place, and the winning title as Ardent’s first ever Charity Golf Day winners were Unique Utility Solutions- A Team, closely followed by Balfour Beatty in 2nd place.

All fundraising from the day has been gifted to Acorns Children’s Hospice, Ardent’s nominated regional charity of the year for Birmingham and the Midlands.  Acorns provide care for babies, children and young people who have life limiting or life threatening conditions, as well as offering specialist palliative care and support for local families.

Jon Stott, Managing Director of Ardent comments “We were delighted to host our inaugural golf day at such a great venue, and it was fantastic to see such a great turnout of clients and contacts.  We all work hard but it’s also so important to spend time with our clients and getting to know each other better – Tuesday provided a great opportunity for that and we’re looking forward to hosting a wide range of client events in the future.  Partnering with Acorns is something we are very proud to be doing and I’m so pleased that we’ve raised funds that will make a genuine difference to the charity and to the lives of the children and families that Acorns supports”.

Thanks to the success of the day, we are delighted to announce that Ardent’s Charity Golf Day will return in 2024. To register your interest, contact comms@ardent-management.com.
