We’re delighted to announce that Ardent’s John Sayer has been appointed as the new vice chair of the Compulsory Purchase Association (CPA) and has been earmarked to chair the association in a year’s time.

John, who is based in Ardent’s London office, has played an active role in the CPA for many years and recognises its importance to developing and evolving the industry.

He said: “Ardent is always striving to deliver the very best advice and service to our clients and we also recognise the importance of the work we do when it comes to bringing about genuine positive change, particularly in the transport, renewables, utilities, and regeneration sectors.

“Compulsory purchase plays a big part in that and, as a business, we are very keen to ensure that we are leading the conversation on the issues that face the industry.

“The CPA is at the heart of that and that is why I am delighted to be the new vice chair of the association with a view to becoming chair next October.”

Colin Cottage, managing director of compensation at Ardent, has also been re-elected to the CPA management board.
