As part of Ardent’s ambitious growth plans, we are delighted to welcome two new key appointments, Ian Cunliffe as Senior Director and Head of Transport and Martin Williams as Director of Renewables for England and Wales.  

We’re delighted to welcome Ian back to the business after five years leading Gateley Hamer’s Infrastructure team. Ian has 20 years’ extensive experience working on major infrastructure projects across both the transport and renewables sectors.  Ian is recognised as one of the leading surveyors for the promotion of Development Consent Orders and has advised through the promotion and delivery of over 25 nationally significant infrastructure projects, including Sizewell C, Silvertown Tunnel, multiple National Highways projects, Cleve Hill Solar Park, as well as spending three years in-house leading on petition responses for High Speed 2. 

Ian’s appointment will be instrumental in driving Ardent’s continued growth in the Transport sector, and his return coincides with us securing a significant new instruction that will help to shape the future of one of the UK’s major economic regions.

Ardent is also pleased to welcome Martin Williams to their growing Renewable Energy team. Martin joins from Carter Jonas and brings with him significant experience in the renewables sector having worked on onshore wind, solar, energy storage, and vehicle charging schemes. Martin’s previous success has seen him involved in over 15GW of energy projects, helping to support both developers and landowners progress their developments across the UK.
