Following the opening of Ardent’s first Scottish hub office, we are pleased to welcome Gillian Lang as a Director to Ardent’s growing Renewable Energy team.

Gillian’s appointment is a key component in Ardent’s ambition to integrate our leading services and support into Scotland’s infrastructure and regeneration markets, in particular, its thriving renewable energy space.

Bringing with her a wealth of experience in the Renewable energy sphere, Gillian joins Ardent following 12 years at ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) working across both the onshore and offshore renewables business, where she held a number of senior positions in the in-house Land and Estates Team and Global Offshore Development Team.

Gillian’s success at defining and implementing land strategies, as well as securing and managing property assets and rights required for the delivery of both onshore and offshore windfarms, will be a welcome asset to Ardent’s growing Renewable Energy offering. Her knowledge of Scotland’s renewable markets, combined with Ardent’s considerable portfolio across England and Wales of nearly 70 DCO applications, ensures we’re well placed to add value and support to projects in line with Scotland’s consenting regime.

Gillian Comments “I am passionate about playing my part in the continued growth of renewable energy in the UK and particularly the huge amount of activity in Scotland. Bringing my extensive experience and unique understanding of developers’ requirements to Ardent, who have such a strong track record of delivering land required for infrastructure projects, creates an exciting opportunity for us to develop and add real value in this fast paced, growing and critical market.”

Pete Gibbard, Head of Renewable Energy at Ardent comments “I am delighted to welcome Gillian to the Renewable Energy team, her industry reputation and experience will help drive our service offering and value we can add to clients across the wind sector, in particular Scotland’s growing offshore and onshore opportunities.”
